Adsense at top left position- Always place a ad slot on the left top of your content. If any user is not getting any information in your content, he might get the topic from google ads hence increases the chances of clicking over the ad.
Make the ad a part of your content- The visitors of the web are really interested about searching their information of need and least or not interested in clicking on the ads. So select the adsense background color, title, ad snippet, ad url color that matches your content. So, the visitors may think it as if a part of your content and may click on these ads to get the relevant content.
Place another ad near to navigation menu - It is a good approach to place a link based adsense ad near to navigation menu of your blog or website. It increases the possibility of being clicked while searching for suitable menu topic by the visitor.
Place one ad at bottom left- One more adsense ad would work best just below the content on the left hand side. Use text based ads- Though image based ads makes the webpage look more good but has many disadvantages. The click chances decreases as visitors are really less interested to click on ads. The image ads will have only 1 link hence less chance of clicking but text based ads contains more than 1 link hence provided maximum possibility for the visitor to get their search topic and click on them.
